That area is larger than Bath: Keynsham, Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Paulton, Saltford, Timsbury, Peasedown and the Chew Valley are separate towns and villages in North East Somerset, up to 15 km from the city, and the Bathavon wards are the rural parishes around it. They are shown because the dataset covers them and leaving them off would put blank ground on the map, but they are not Bath, and the recommendations above are drawn only from wards inside the city. Day and night here are split by offence type, not by clock time: the police feed records no time of day, so “by day” weights shoplifting, theft and burglary and “at night” weights violence, robbery and anti-social behaviour.
