Every neighbourhood page carries one accommodation link, pointing to a Booking.com search already scoped to that area. Where Booking.com has no search area for a neighbourhood, the link searches the surrounding district or the city instead, and the note under the button says which of the three it is — verified against Booking, not assumed.
Nothing. The links carry no affiliate or tracking parameters and are not commissioned. An application to Booking.com's affiliate programme is in progress. If and when those links start earning a commission, this page will be updated with the date, every commissioned link will be disclosed as such, and this notice will change from "nothing" to the actual arrangement.
It would not change a rating. Safety levels come from the evidence classes set out on the methodology page and are written before any link is generated; a neighbourhood's rating has never depended on how many rooms are bookable in it, and a commercial arrangement would not make it depend on that. The link is downstream of the rating and always will be.
Nor would it cost you anything: an affiliate commission is paid by the booking platform out of its own margin, at no additional cost to the traveller.
Wandroz takes no payment for coverage, placement or a rating, from cities, hotels, tourist boards or anyone else. There is no advertising on the site. If that ever changes it will be disclosed here before it appears anywhere else.
